Pitch

Nayana is a turn-based RPG on PC in which the player must strategically spread crystals on the battlefield to win their battles.

Team size: 20 people

Engine: Unreal Engine 4
Duration: 2 months

What I worked on:

  • Combat Design, iterating on combat mechanics, enemies, bricks and encounters

  • Level Design, creating combat levels and parts of the open world

  • UI/UX Design, ensuring the readability of the gameplay and understanding of the different combat mechanics

Problematics solved

  • Handling difficulty progression in an open level, by having each zone explore a different mechanic, with an inner difficulty progression

  • Adapting to unexpected production constraints, by cutting content efficiently while keeping the core gameplay

  • Making combat mechanics understandable, by adjusting tutorials, signs and feedbacks according to playtest results
